The REFRACTOMETER
The manual refractometer CIMCOOL is a precise optical instrument to measure the concentration of the cutting fluid mixture. The operation is ready to be realized in seconds, allowing an exact measure of the cutting fluid concentration.
Example of usage: Set, with the help of the plastic nozzle provided with the instrument, a few drops of the cutting fluid to be analyzed on the prism of the refractometer. Position the refractometer towards a strong source of light and, adjusting the regulator, you will get a reading in the scale of the refractometer. Multiply this reading by the cutting fluid factor (consult the CIMCOOL Technical Service).

The TA - kit.
It is an accessory with which you can determine the cutting fluid concentration very accurately and with no interferences from polluting agents such as oils and greases.
It is a very operative kit that makes it easy to execute a very exact laboratory process to determine the coolant concentration.
The principle is based in a titling with diluted hydrochloric.
The TA-kit from CIMCOOL can be used by people not specialized in laboratory tasks, such as operators, maintenance technicians or people responsible of control.
There is enough reagent for approximately 200 sample measurements.
The kit is pocket size.
The result of the measurement is expressed in cutting fluid concentration (%) or as total alkalinity: TA = % NaOH.

The CIMCHEK
The CIMCHEK is a new method to determine concentration, only for CIMCOOL products.
It combines the speed of the refractometer with good measurement accuracy in adverse conditions. One of these conditions can be cutting fluids contaminated with leaking oils.
The CIMCHECK concept is based on one-use strips. You have to dip the strip in the CIMCOOL coolant bath and the concentration of the product is determined by means of the colour change of the squares of the reagent.
The CIMCHECK is sold in two-jar packets with 50 strips each.
¡NOTE! For products of low alkalinity, as some emulsions, we recommend the refractometer.
If you need more accuracy, the TA-kit is still superior.
